Early on, as she started meeting with landowners in the field, she discovered a common frustration: no one was taking the time to sit down with them to understand their short- and long-term goals when it came to leasing or selling their mineral rights.
Many landowners shared similar stories, saying, "The last person here was so pushy—they just wanted me to sign." They often felt rushed and that no one had explained or reviewed the lease or sale agreement in depth. Rebecca realized that this approach was a significant gap in the industry. Determined to address this, she made it her mission to meet with each client personally, taking the time to discuss all their options. Recognizing that every individual is at a different stage in life, she knew there could be no "one-size-fits-all" solution.
As a result, Rebecca began to receive numerous referrals, not only from landowners but also from attorneys who trusted her with their clients, favoring her approach over "fly-by-night" companies that lacked the landowner's best interest at heart.
